See you Sunday.

I hope your week is going well. A few reminders;
- This coming week is week 2 of our "Perfect Blend: Bringing Jesus into Everyday Life" study. The topic titles are Indentify and Intercede. Last week's topic was exceptional I thought, and this week should be the same.
- Heros for Children 5k charity walk is coming up on Sept 25. Here is the website if you would like to register. http://www.heroesforchildren.org/ Julie and I do it every year and it's a lot of fun. Very family friendly.
- We are gathering items for PISD School Age parents as our mission this month. They are looking to gather new and gently used baby items : strollers, cribs, car seats, clothes, baby wipes, diapers, gift card, ect. Get any of those to Victor if you have any to donate.
See you Sunday.

Weekly Update
Hi everyone,
This week we are beginning a 3 week study on Evangelism. Virginia has found a great series entitled "Perfect Blend: Bringing Jesus into Everyday Life." It takes a slightly different approach in that it premotes "less about confronting people with an evangelistic method and more about being aware of the opportunities to share your faith that arise naturally in the course of your daily life." Should be very interesting and practical.
Victor is still sorting through all of the Mission's opprotunities that are currently available and will be getting back to us with some options. If you have anything that is special to you or your family he would love to hear from you. (Like the Hero's for Children 5K later the month.)
Jason Lax is also working on our social calender so we'll be hearing more about later this month too.
I am looking forward to kicking off this "new year" with a bang. Hope to see everyone on Sunday. That is of course if you don't stay up too late on Sat night watching the Camp Rock 2 finally! :)

Joys and Concerns for the Week 8/22/10
Hi Everyone,
Michael lead a great discussion on major themes of The Shack today. I thought the lesson went very well and went a long way toward answering some of those difficult questions we all have regarding God's role in everything. Thanks for leading that Michael.
This coming week we will have Jack Gibson coming to lead our final week on the Shack. I am sure it will be a "Can't miss" kind of lesson. I am looking forward to it.
Concerns:
Keenan is fighting a bad infection in his leg. Speedy recovery.
Also his Grandmother is in the hospital with elevated B/P issues.
Aaron had a rough Sat. night at Cowboy Chicken with some electrical issues. We hope that gets resolved and the doors open up again soon.
Amy's sister was in a bad car wreck and is still looking for employment.
Continue to keep Michael's Grandfather in your prayers
Joys:
Thankfully school is upon us again. Good luck to all of our students and teachers.
Jenna is doing great. Thanks for everything.
See you soon.
