Hello All,

Today we had a fun class with two young guest speakers. They talked about reading the bible and how the old testament is the back story to the new testament and shouldn't be overlooked. Next Sunday Wayne will start us back up on the parenting series Raising Great Kids.

Happy Father's Day to all our Dads. I hope everyone got to enjoy the weekend. Today we continued our parenting study talking about Grace and Truth. Next Sunday we will have some young people guest speaking in class. We will pick back up with the parenting series on Sunday July 4th.

Joys & Concerns:

Exciting news for the Garcia family, they found out this week they will be welcoming a little boy into their family come October.

Virginia and Lane will be traveling to Bridgeport next weekend to hear Lane's sister Dana preach at her church.

Michael will be traveling to Orlando on business this week.

Jason & Ashlea had a child care flighted out of their neighborhood this weekend.

We hope all the kids and volunteers have a great week at VBS this coming week.

Mission:
Our June mission is serving ice cream at evening VBS this Thursday night 7:45-9pm. Please email Victor if you can participate.

I hope everyone's summer is off to a good start. This morning Jason Lincoln led the first lesson in our new study Raising Great Kids. Next Sunday is Father's Day and the youth choir will be performing at all the services. We will be discussing Grace and Truth in relation to parenting in next week's lesson.

Karla will be having Lasik eye surgery on Friday.

Brett's brother, Chris, will be home shortly from Iraq on Army leave.

Erin has a coworker, Connie, whose mother has a serious blood clot issue. She has exhausted her treatment options. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

Missions:
Our June mission will be helping out with the night VBS on Thursday June 24th. We will be serving ice cream to the kids.

Today Jason Lincoln continued with John 3:16, next week will wrap up the study. I hope everyone enjoyed the picnic, the kids seemed to have a great time. Thank you to all for pitching in and bringing all the food and goodies.

Treasurer's Update (Finally)

Good Morning! Hope everyone is having a great Saturday. Well it has only been 6 months since I updated everyone on the state of the treasury so here is the much needed update.

Previous Balance (from 11/18/09 post) $1329.33

Deposits $ 579.90

Balance 5/22 $1909.23

In November we had $126 towards paid in full, we will add an additional $290 to that from the deposits noted above giving us a total of $416 towards our $1500 to be paid in October 2011. Almost 1/3 of the way there so great job. Of course we need to remain mindful of this commitment as well as the need to continue to build our treasury for events that we have and missions that we support. Please let me know if you have any questions and remember you can write checks to be made out to Two Become One-CRUMC. For those of you that have checks that haven't cleared, I apologize, will be depositing beginning of the week, had a few things going on the past few months!

Jason Lincoln's coworker's wife was diagnosed with cancer, it is stage three and more wide spread than they expected.

Angie's mother is dealing with some medical issues at this time.

Lori Dusek is back at work after recovering from surgery.
