Class Meeting Part 2 this Sunday 8/2/09
I hope you are all having a good week. I thought we had a great class discussion on 7/19/09, so I wanted to follow up with the notes we captured during that session and preview what we hope to cover this coming Sunday as the discussion continues.
I have attached the notes from 7/19 in our Yahoo! Group. Here is the link to the site and the file is called: TBO Class Notes from 7-19-09.doc. If you can't view this or don't have access to the Yahoo! group, send me an email directly and I'll forward the notes to you.

Here are the topics we need to work on this week:
1. Class name and description - bring your thoughts and ideas on this issue.
2. Utilizing Spiritual Gifts - we'd like to create a matrix with everyone's top 3-5 spiritual gifts. Please bring your inventory that we did this past spring. I will capture the the individuals' gifts, so as we move forward we can better utilize people and their gifts. I will try to find and post a soft copy of the Spiritual Gifts inventory for those who didn't complete one in March or for those who can't find theirs.
3. Formulation of Committees - What committees are needed, how many people on the different committees, etc. Once we have the Spiritual Gift matrix, it will be easier to place people in appropriate service homes.
4. Class Officer Positions -
Lastly, could we have a couple volunteers to bring food for class this Sunday? If you are interested just "comment" to this post.
Sorry for the novel. Thank you so much for your participation and we look forward to continuing the discussion. Hope to see you this Sunday!
Take Care,
Michael

Just a reminder this week is the final week for the Animal Shelter Drive and the Special in class collection for the Red Bird Mission.
I don't think I will be able to make class this week, so any item can go underneath our table and I'll pick them up next week some time.

More details for this Sunday.
As a follow up to Michael’s post to the group earlier this week, I wanted to send out some additional information regarding this coming Sunday, 7/19/09. During our normal class time (we may run a little long) we would like everyone in the class to participate in a discussion about the current state of Two Become One as well as the future of our class.
We are at a crossroads in the life of Two Become One. Attendance has been light over the past few months – obviously summers are tough with vacations, holidays, and we have had new babies join us, but there are other topics that we need to address as a class ASAP.
This Sunday will be an opportunity for all of us to gather and share our thoughts, concerns, ideas, and address issues in a constructive manner. Everyone’s feedback is valuable, so please plan on attending class this Sunday if at all possible. We realize this meeting is short notice and some folks may not be able to join us. We will continue our discussion on 8/2/09 and decide on the direction of the class. Meeting minutes will be sent out to the group for both sessions.
If you would like to send me your thoughts / comments I will keep them anonymous yet still get the points out on the table in our discussion.
Please pray for our class and our class members as we embark on the next phase in our journey.
Missions Reminder
Don't forget to bring any items for the Plano Animal Shelter to class on Sunday. Old towels, blankets, newpaper, food, litter, ect are all welcome.
Also part of the collection this month will be donated to the Redbird Mission to help poverty stricken communties in Tennessee.
See you soon,
Wayne

Missions Update
We will be having 2 ongoing missions in the month of July.
1) 25% of the collection in class this month will go toward the Redbird Project. This is a project that helps 3 counties in TN that are well below the poverty line. Contributions can go to help in many different way. Any help is help.
2) Please bring items to the room to donate to the Plano/Allen Animal Shelter. There is a full list of items in the room on the Mission board, but all items are welcome. The biggest needs are newpapers, old towels, animal toys as well as dry food goods and litter. Please bring any items that you would like to donate and place them below the table in the room. I'll deliver anything we were able to collect in early August.
Thanks in advance for everyone's help and support. It's been a good year for us helping the community. Thank you to everyone for that.
