I hope everyone is enjoying the long holiday weekend. Amy finished up our religions of the world study today with Scientology and Pentecostal. Next week will begin a study about Job.

Joys & Concerns:

Keenan's mother is flying back from England after an extended trip overseas.

Angie's family in Joplin Missouri is safe. They have lost their homes and face the challenges of rebuilding their lives in a devastated city.

Janessa's family is dealing with some struggles right now.

Virginia and I both were able to visit with the Glovers this week. The babies are growing and doing well.

Janessa is due with Baby Boy Wilkins in the next week or two. She is uncomfortable but hanging in there and looking forward to meeting their new little guy.

Social:

A picnic social is tentatively set for Saturday June 11th. Jason Lax is trying to find a good available park.

Aaron will be making 4 wedding cakes next weekend!

Janessa is due any day now!

Lane's sister Dana will be moving to Mabank from Bridgeport for a ministerial appointment.

Please pray for those affected by the tornado in Joplin, MO.

Our pet sitter, Erin, has ovarian cancer & had to have an emergency hysterectomy 3 wks ago & will be starting chemo in 2 weeks. i think she is around our age. :(

Joys & Concerns 5/15

We enjoyed a great brunch this past week. It was nice catching up with everyone! Here are the joys and concerns for the week:

Erica's high school classmate passed away suddenly at the age of 35.

Lesley's best friend's brother, who is in the army, was wounded in Afghanistan. He has now been transferred to San Antonio and just had his 7th surgery.

The Glover's twins are home and doing well!

The Glover boys were born May 9th around 5pm. Brett Christian 6lbs 10oz and Travis James 6lbs 5oz. Eileen and the boys are doing well.

Baby Kuykendall is Here

Martha and Paul had their baby boy, Brandon Lee, today at 1:29 pm. Brandon weighed 8 lbs 11 ounces and was 21 inches. Martha had a c-section and is at Plano Presby room 481. Everyone is doing well. What a great Mother's Day gift! Congrats to the Kuykendall family!
Hello All,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. Today Amy gave a very informative talk about the Mormon religion. Next week we will have a class brunch. Please bring breakfast goodies and come to enjoy some fellowship. Then Amy will pick back up on Sunday May 22nd with the Jehovah Witness and Christian Scientists, should be very interesting.

Happy 2nd Birthday to Nicholas on May 10th!

Joys & Concerns:

Big baby news happening this week. On Thursday May 12th Eileen is scheduled to have the twins. And our former classmates Paul & Martha Kuykendall are set to have their third child, a little boy, on May 1oth as well. Best wishes for safe deliveries and healthy happy babies. We look forward to seeing the pictures of these new little ones.

Today we had guests John & Jennifer join us for class.

Jason Lincoln's friend's wife has been battling cancer and she is doing very well with her treatment. She will have surgery to remove her last tumor and then be cancer free.

Philip's boss passed away this last week after losing his battle with cancer. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

We have several people traveling this week. Michael, Phil, and Karla & Keenan safe travels to you all.

Missions: If you have a Christmas in Peru box please return your filled box to Fellowship Hall as soon as possible. And our own Angie Garcia is heading up the Evening VBS and looking for volunteers to help out in all areas.

We want to thank Amy for her time and preparation for the great lessons on different religions.

Joys & Concerns 5/1

Here are the joys and concerns for the week:

We are so glad to have Virginia back from England! She reported that the house is cleared out and will hopefully be sold next week.

Virginia & Lane are having a girl!

Virginia's friend's mom passed away from breast cancer, and her friend's sister was pregnant and lost her baby.

Virginia's dad had good test results and will wait another 6 months.

Phil's boss has been fighting cancer for 18 months and is out of options. He is hoping to see his son graduate in June.

Jason Lax's boss is having prostrate removal surgery.

Eileen will be induced on May 12th!

Erica and her mom will be traveling to Wyoming for her cousin's wedding.

Lesley's friend's mom passed away from cancer.

One of Lesley's high school band directors was recently diagnosed with stage 4 renal cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.

Please continue to pray for the tornado victims in the South.
