Newest Members - The Oldham Babies!!!

Jarod and Sarah became the parents of two little girls this evening around 5 p.m.

Anne Elizabeth 3 lbs.

&

Emily Jane - 1 lbs. 15 oz.

The babies were born via c-section due to the pareontologist not being happy with the amount of amneotic fluid around Emily. The baby girls are both in the NICU at Presby Plano and being monitored and taken great care of.
Please keep the Oldham's and Anne & Emily in your prayers. Both Jarod and Sarah's parents got to be in town for the occasion and they are geting lots of support and love but our prayers for the continued health & quick growth would go a long way. We will get more details for those who'd like to help support the Oldham's out later this weekend once the new parents catch their breath.

Congratulations Jarod and Sarah we are all excited to welcome your baby girls and look forward to seeing them grow (even more than most!!!)

Oldham Babies

Michael spoke t0 Jarod tonight and Sarah is being admitted back to the hospital. We don't have full details, but the smaller baby girl is being watched more closely (low fluid). The babies are not in immediate need of being delivered, but they could be here in the next few weeks. Jarod seemed to be in great spirits and their family is arriving tomorrow. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks, Janessa

Sarah update

Hello All,

The Oldham's asked us to pass along word of how Sarah and the twins are doing. They postponed their trip to Ohio this year because the doctors saw some changes in Sarah and wanted to watch over the weekend. When they went this morning her cervix had gotten smaller which can be an indicator of early labor so they admitted her into Plano Presby as a precaution.

All the tests came back negative and she appears to be doing fine and not in any immediate risk of delivery. They gave her a steroid shot today and she will have one more tomorrow to be on the safe side and then should be going home.

The doctors said the twin girls look great. Jarod & Sarah asked us to let everyone know so we can all keep them in our prayers over the next weeks and month or two so the twins continue on such a good track and stay put for a little longer.

Joys & Concerns 12/19

We had a small group on Sunday but there were a couple Joys & Concerns.

- Baby Sam (Lax ) had to have an ultrasound because his pupils are slightly different size. Tests were good but they still haven't determined why this is yet.

- One of Michelle Taylor's students is pregnant and underage. Prayers for her through the difficult time and adjustment.

Merry Christmas and safe travels to all.

Joys and Concerns

Hey Gang, sorry so late - here are the Joys and Concerns from last Sunday:

- Please pray for safe travels for all those traveling during the holidays.

- The Comptons had to put one of their cats to sleep.

- Karla has some upcoming key job decisions to make.

- Sherrye had another co-worker let go at her job.

- Please keep in your prayers all those affected by the current uncertainty of the auto industry and overall state of the economy.

- The Nasers/Glovers know a couple who have a 2 year old, Alex, who was hospitalized earlier in the week with a leg infection. The doctors have been able to treat the infection and Alex is doing much better.

Everyone enjoy the weekend and have a safe and Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year - we look forward to seeing everyone in '09.

Take care.

Thanks!!!

Howdy,

I just wanted to let everyone know that all the gifts were dropped off at Head Start on Wed. morning and they were very thankful for our help. Thanks to everyone who participated. This is the second year we've been able to help two families have a better christmas.

Also, we received a nice thank you letter for our support of Friday Night Friends Christmas party. I left it in the box if anyone wants to read on Sunday. A big thank you to all those who helped prepare or provide food for the event. I know its a great thing for them to get all the families together in that setting to share and celebrate together.

Have a great rest of the week.

12/7 Joys & Concerns

- Please pray for safe travels this week as Jarod is traveling to/from Germany and Philip is traveling to/from London.

- Please pray for our church members of the Act II service which recently ceased its services - 11/23 was the last Act II Sunday service. Please pray for our members to stay connected to church (inside or out of CRUMC) as they struggle during this change and subsequent transition.

Everyone have a great remainder of the week and look forward to seeing everyone this Sunday.

Christmas party pix

Thanks again to Wayne & Julie for hosting our Christmas party and for all those who helped organize it! Here are some pictures from the party. Sorry we didn't get a group pic this year... I'll just blame that on the guys upstairs watching football! :)
