Concerns 12/27

Please keep the following in your prayers this week:

- Michael's grandmother passed away on Christmas Day. Our family will be traveling to Little Rock this week for the services.

- Former class members, Nick and Sarah Burkett, lost Nick's mother, Sandy, last week. The services were on Christmas Eve in Tyler. I will send them a symapthy card from our class.

Hope everyone has a happy new year! Janessa

Sunday 12/27/09

Hey Everyone,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great day yesterday with family and friends. Sorry for the short notice, but we will not be having class tomorrow. We didn’t have a lesson scheduled and I know there are a bunch of folks out of town, etc. I will be in the classroom for the first part of our Sunday School hour to greet guests or anyone who didn’t get the message.

Next Sunday, 1/3/09, we will begin a new study, “Making Love Last a Lifetime” by Adam Hamilton (the same author from the Seeing Gray study).

Again, I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays! Safe travels and we’ll see you January.

God Bless,
Michael

Next Sunday we will finish up our Advent study.

Joys & Concerns:

Jason Lax has received a promotion at work. Congratulations Jason!

Michael Wilkins' grandmother is in hospice care.

Phil's co worker's wife is having a complicated pregnancy and has been put on bedrest at 14 weeks.

Over the next few weeks we will have many traveling for work and for the holidays.

Please keep these concerns in your thoughts and prayers. Have a wonderful week and may everyone take the time to enjoy their family, friends, and spirit of the season.

A good lesson today from Chris on spending less and making an effort not to let material things overtake Christmas. Next week we will talk about giving more as we continue this Advent study. Also next Sunday during church services there will be a musical celebration of the season.

Joys & Concerns:
Jamey's mother is recovering extremely well after having surgery.

Jason Lincoln's grandmother is out the hospital and back home with her husband. She is feeling well and the doctors may have found a possible treatment for her lung problem.

The Lincolns will be traveling next week to attend Ashlea's brother's Officer Candidate School Graduation.

The president of Jason Lax's company died of pancreatic cancer.

Jason Lax's family friend Taylor continues to struggle with tumor regrowth. Her family is trying to find a doctor willing to operate on the tumor.

Socials:
Next Sunday is second Sunday brunch at Fireside Subs in Plano.
Thank you to everyone for bringing all the wonderful food for the Christmas dinner. I hope everyone had as much fun at the party as we did.

Missions:
Victor will be delivering the Headstart gifts this week. Thank you to everyone for helping contribute to the Garcia family's Christmas.

Have a merry Christmas spirit filled week,
Julie
