Talent Show this Sat & Open House Bake Off "Save the Date"

Hello everyone - hope you all had a safe and wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

- This Saturday, 5/31, is the 3rd Annual Not Necessarily Talented Talent Show. The show raises funds for the college group's mission efforts in Mexico. Dinner starts at 6:30 in Fellowship Hall (Loaded Baked Potato, Salad, and Dessert) followed by the Talent Show at 7:30 in the Upper Room. Tickets for the dinner/show are $10 each and $7 for show only and can be purchased at the door. So bring the family, enjoy the show, and help contribute for a great cause!

- Bringing back the Adult Sunday School Open House was a priority goal discussed at the annual leadership conference back in February. So I happy to announce that the Adult Sunday School Open House date has been set for 9/14- with a twist. This year we will be having an Open House Bake Off. There will be 3 categories our class can enter: cinnamon rolls, biscuits, or breakfast breads (like banana nut, lemon poppy seed, etc) - so start gathering your favorite recipes! There will be a panel of judges and prizes will be awarded and we will be offering samples during the morning hours. More details to follow (we may need a few "taste tests" to be held in class prior to the Bake Off - hint, hint), but just wanted to mention the date so we could get it on our calendar of events.

Have a great remainder of the week and see you all Sunday.

Game Night Saturday May 17th

Game night is set for Saturday night at Jason and Ashlea's house. Their address is 12696 Gardendale Dr. Frisco, TX in case you need directions. Plan to arrive anytime in the early afternoon (4:00 ish) and stay till you can't take anymore or they kick you out.......Lets plan on eating around 5:30 and we will be having hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner so please plan on bringing $5 per couple to cover the cost of the meat and buns.

Also, please sign up to bring you favorite side dish or dessert as well as any games you wish to play (see prior e-mail and comments for all the systems available). Jason also asks that you might want to bring a folding chair if you have one handy and if anyone can bring an extra card table that would be great. Let me know by Friday if you will be attending and what you wish to bring so that we can get a head count for buying the meat!

Suggestions for food: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, relish, mustard, mayo, chips, cokes, etc.
