Prayer Request Update

Here is an update from the Hlavaty's on their friend's son, Kyle:

He woke up on Friday, and has only shown minimal brain damage in the tests they have done since. They moved him out of ICU yesterday.

Kyle is doing SO well. He ate pancakes today and walked around the room. He did perfect when the neurologist examined him. He knows what year it is. He knows he's in the hospital because he's sick. His eyes are swollen and he is coughing a lot because he still has a little fluid in his lung. But he is doing very well and we are very excited.

Not sure if they have a formal diagnosis on what happened, but he seems to be doing well so far. Still at least another week in the hospital as far as I know.

Treasurer's Update

Hi!  I hope everyone is having a great week.  Here is a treasury update since my last on 4/30:

Previous Balance (as of 4/30/11)            $2,573.55
Deposits (since 4/30)                               267.00
Withdrawls:
     Pastoral Care                                         (120.00)
     Mission-Dr. Nancy and Larry                    (200.00)

Balance 7/25/11                                $2,520.55

Paid in Full Update to be paid 10/2011:
At my last update we had $1087 towards our $1500 to be paid in October 2011, to that we will add one half of the deposits above or $134 making our paid in full balance accumulated of $1221! So there is $279 remaining to get to the $1500 we owe.  We have just 3 more months as we have to pay this by 10/31/11.  It should be noted that since we have only added $240 to this in 5 months so we need to have better weeks in the next 3 months if we're going to get there without dipping into the additional money in the treasury for other things.  The amount remaining in the treasury right now that is not reserved for paid in full is about $1300.

I will make a deposit tomorrow for those of you who have written checks.

Hope to see everyone on Sunday!
Ashlea

Prayer Requests

Karla shared some prayer requests with me:

There was a flood in their office on Thursday, and thankfully it was just a pipe and not a foundation problem! It is all fixed except for the dry wall, carpet pad, and getting the room put back together.

Their neighbor's son passed away from brain cancer at the age of 41.

Karla's boss is recovering from a hysterectomy.

Please keep these concerns in your prayers. Have a great week!

Prayer Request Update

Please continue to keep Amy & Phil's friend's son, Kyle, in your prayers. The doctors are saying he may have brain damage from his blood sugar being so low for so long. He also has a hole in his lung. They are putting in a chest tube to let the air outside his lung out, and he will be heavily sedated for at least one day. They won't know the extent of the damage until he wakes up.

Joys & Concerns 7/17

Happy Birthday Chris July 17th & Happy Birthday Ashlea July 18th!

Here are the joys and concerns for the week:

The Allisons had a safe trip to North Carolina to visit Karla's family.

Amy H's dad fell on his hip a while back and it has not healed. He will be going to see an orthopedic surgeon this week.

Victor's mom has spots on her legs and face for an unknown reason. They are hoping she will get an appointment with a dermatologist to figure out the cause.

Lesley's great aunt is back in the hospital with digestive issues.

Lesley & Chad are having a sonogram this week and will hopefully find out the sex of the baby!

New Requests:

Amy & Phil's friends' son (Kyle) was unresponsive this morning when they went to wake him up. He is currently in a coma and on a ventilator at the hospital. There is no firm diagnosis yet, but they believe he had some sort of seizure. CT scan was clear and they will find out MRI results tomorrow.

Amy White is having surgery Tuesday to remove a hematoma from the site of her C-section incision.

Thanks for keeping all of these concerns in your prayers. Have a great week everyone!
