Weekly Update
This week all services are at Oak Point at the corner of Spring Creek and Jupiter. Service begins at 10 and is followed by a picnic lunch there at the site.
We have decided to try to meet for the service to sit together. If you are facing the stage, we'll try to meet on the right hand side of the seating area in the back row/area. I hope to see you there. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets.
Following the service will be a lunch. The church is providing BBQ and drinks. They are asking if your last name is A-M bring a covered side dish. And N-Z bring a dessert. I think the church is handling everything else.
The plan to have bounce houses for the kiddos and "field games" for the older kids and adults. Should be fun.
This will be our social for the month so I hope to see everyone there for fun and fellowship.
Our missions for the month is going to be putting together Harvest boxes. More info to follow.
Sorry to be so long winded. Hope I see you Sunday.

Weekly Update
No big news this week.
Lucas gets baptized this week at 8:30 service. I'm sure Amy and Philip would love to have you up there with them. Sounds like they are going to have a big group.
We are finalizing a place to meet out at Oak Point on Oct 3 so we can all sit together. Picinic afterwards if you hadn't heard already.
Study of Philemon this week. Focuses on forgiveness a lot if I remember correctly but Chad can go in a 1000 different directions with it. Should be fun.
See you soon,

Joys & Concerns 9/19
Hi everyone,
Wayne led the last week of our lesson on evangelism. Next week Chad will lead our discussion on the Book of Philemon. Here are the joys and concerns for the week:
- Lucas will be baptized at 8:30 next Sunday, and there will be brunch at Tin Star afterwards.
- Emily W. and Ally have both been sick with colds.
- Paul recently had knee surgery.
- Brett's brother will be coming home from Iraq soon!
- Jason Lincoln's grandfather passed away.
Happy Birthday to Julie on September 22nd!
FYI: The playgroup that Ashlea and I are in is having a fundraiser for My Friend's House (children's shelter in Plano that CRUMC has supported). Come eat at Tin Star in Frisco (3301 Preston) on Wednesday, 9/22 anytime between 4-9. They will donate 15% of sales, both dine-in and carry out, to My Friend's House.
Thanks, and have a great week! :)

Weekly Update
I hope your week is going well. A few reminders;
- This coming week is week 2 of our "Perfect Blend: Bringing Jesus into Everyday Life" study. The topic titles are Indentify and Intercede. Last week's topic was exceptional I thought, and this week should be the same.
- Heros for Children 5k charity walk is coming up on Sept 25. Here is the website if you would like to register. http://www.heroesforchildren.org/ Julie and I do it every year and it's a lot of fun. Very family friendly.
- We are gathering items for PISD School Age parents as our mission this month. They are looking to gather new and gently used baby items : strollers, cribs, car seats, clothes, baby wipes, diapers, gift card, ect. Get any of those to Victor if you have any to donate.
See you Sunday.

Weekly Update
This week we are beginning a 3 week study on Evangelism. Virginia has found a great series entitled "Perfect Blend: Bringing Jesus into Everyday Life." It takes a slightly different approach in that it premotes "less about confronting people with an evangelistic method and more about being aware of the opportunities to share your faith that arise naturally in the course of your daily life." Should be very interesting and practical.
Victor is still sorting through all of the Mission's opprotunities that are currently available and will be getting back to us with some options. If you have anything that is special to you or your family he would love to hear from you. (Like the Hero's for Children 5K later the month.)
Jason Lax is also working on our social calender so we'll be hearing more about later this month too.
I am looking forward to kicking off this "new year" with a bang. Hope to see everyone on Sunday. That is of course if you don't stay up too late on Sat night watching the Camp Rock 2 finally! :)
