Hi everyone.
Hope your week is going well. I am putting the finishing touches on the study outline for this week's discussion on The Shack.
This week, we are going to focus on the images God uses for himself, and how that affects our personal belief systems and theologies. Think of the examples in the Book (and the Bible) of how God is described and what kinds of emotions and discussions follow. (Specifically how Mack describes their appearance through out the book and what they are doing or talking about.)
We will also look at the concept that the Trinity and it's importance. We'll focus on the "Breakfast of Champions" chapter 8 (I think) for that one. Interesting take.
Hopefully we'll find a strong link between the images God presents to us and their purpose/God's role in the world. It's a lot to cover so hopefully we can jump right in with both feet.

Hey Everyone! We hope to be there tomorrow, but Cowboy Chicken is opening Monday. So, though God demands we have a day of rest, it might not be on Sunday for us this week. If we don't see you, have a great discussion and we'd love to see you Monday for lunch or dinner at Cowboy!
